i've been working on this off and on for a week or so. i drew 2 castles before i got to this one. the top 2 panels are my rough pencils with perspective lines. i put all the other datails in on the page as im transfering from the roughs. the larger panel is actually panel 1 of the 3rd page to my diver story im working on. a few small details need to be added, but thats basically all i'll do untill the inks. ill delete/ move this to scraps once i finish the pencils and inks and post the finished page.
I guess I'm too late, but I really think the ship needs to be bigger and maybe even a little lower in the panel. It looks "off" just enough to catch my eye. Whatever happened to your free-handing attempts? The one I saw was very nice.
both, the ship and the castle, started out as freehand drawings with no perspective lines. after that i threw down some vanishing points. the great thing about water is, you can really fudge the perspective due to waves and an uneven surface. and it may seem like im making excuses, but the castle is supposed to be pretty big.

This looks very good man.
Is that a ghost ship?
It sure looks like one...
