would have had this done yesterday, but my girlfriend and i were at the pats game. before even getting into the stadium, i threatened to knock a guys teeth in for makin' some comments to my girl : )

in the pencil stage, i thought i would need to slide the bottom panel over to the left a little to avoid that side of the page being too heavy. but once i dropped the shadows on the statue it solved the problem.

enjoy

thanks, man! i try to really link panels together that way. very "in your face". its fun to be able to force the eye movement in the direction you want.

Ahh man this is sweet. So envious of your skills..you're just as good of a story teller as you are an artist

thanks, man! i really focus on telling a clear story. its just good to hear that the story reads/makes sense to others and not just myself.

thanks! i was really trying to push the eye to down to panel 2. i was hoping the angle, and the direction of the lead pirate along with his shadow would do it.

It works - it really feels like it's leading the readers eye - and yet staying distant, observing the scene.
