It's been over a year since my last entry here. A lot of things have gone on.
3 months ago I quit my full time job. The pay was decent, there were benefits, I enjoyed working with most of the staff, and it was secure. But with all those things, I still loathed going to work. There's an odd type of stress when managing other employees (good, or bad). There's also a greater stress when supervisors micro manage your way of working.
So, I said "fuck it".
I've been freelancing since.
I love it. I'm not stressed. There's no one telling me how to do my job. I can just draw. Even with the inconsistent cash flow, I wouldn't change a thing.
Ive expanded my presence on different forms of social media. Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter. I post a lot of process work and sketches there that I don't post here. So please check those out if you frequent those sites.
Im making some good progress on "the diver" thanks to my buddy Andrew MacLean. I go to his studio once a week and work on diver pages while he works on his own projects. I'm coloring a book that Andrew is drawing for a company called "lionforge". I also have a story in Sean Murphy's "cafe racer", that is now available (I have copies for sale for those who are interested). And lastly, my friend Chris Irvin and I are working on a pitch to submit to some publishers. It's a fun story, and he already has 3 issues written (out of 4). If picked up, I'll be doing the art for all 4 issues.
Here are the links of where I can be found:
Thanks for reading. Now to get back to commissions and pages.

I post art on other sites now
I'm no longer posting illustrations on this site. There are much more user friendly outlets that I've been using for the past year and a half. I still post art regularly, along with 'process' shots/videos. Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook are where I frequent.

Intruder 2
Last month I drew an issue of a book for Cartoon Network/Toonami/Adult Swim. A short video preview can be found here: http://youtu.be/4vk9OiQU62k
It was a fun gig, and hopefully there can be some follow up stories.
It will be released on the Adult Swim site this Saturday, November 7th. I believe it will be shown over 4 days (5 pages per day), then there will be a full issue download once the whole book is available (or, at least that is my understanding).
Art: Joe DellaGatta
Plot: Lee Loughridge/Jon Proctor
Writer: Jon Proctor
Colors: Lee Loughridge
Lettering: Jared K Fletcher
Art sale
I decided to put some prices up for some old pieces on here. It's stuff I have still kicking around, or stuff I'm trying to clear out. It's only on stuff in the first 4 pages of my gallery. The prices DO INCLUDE u.s. shipping. Basically, I typed a price at the bottom of each description for its respective piece. If there's no price, it means I've already sold it, or, I'm not selling it.
There are pin ups, unused diver pages, pages from anthologies, illustrations for books, and even a couple book covers. It's all priced as low as I'm willing to sell it.
If if anyone is interested, you can send me a note here, or an email and I'll get you set
Finished diver statue
I can't explain how rad this is.
Jules, ~ConqueringAlien (https://www.deviantart.com/conqueringalien) , just finished up a statue of the diver based off of my art.
Here's Jules' finished work:

Good on you for chasing the dream. Trying to do the same myself and the financial side can be stressful, but it's a small price to pay for such a job.
